Guigal's standard white wine cuvees, especially his Cotes du Rhone, have shown continued improvement, although it was more difficult to turn out a concentrated, ripe wine in 1992 and 1993 than in 1990. The dry 1993 and 1992 Cotes du Rhone blancs possess ripe, elegant fruit and medium body. Because of the addition of nearly 20% Viognier, it offers honeysuckle-scented bouquets and chewy flavors. Because of its freshness, I preferred the 1993 slightly more than the medium-bodied, tasty 1992.Importer: Classic Wines, Boston, MA; Tel. (617) 731-6644
