I sampled the 2011s from the single vineyard wines, as they decided to sell that vintage before the 2010. So I started with the 2011 Valdegatiles that showeds very advanced aromas with hints of bruised apples and blood, warm and ripe. I opened a second bottle, which showed much fresher as though the first bottle had suffered some heat. The palate is ripe, with chewy tannins and moderate acidity. It feels polished and balanced, quite good for a warm vintage. 1,487 bottles produced.
