Sleek and racy, with a beam of cherry and berry fruit coated in dusty tannins. Comes together on the finish, showing enough sweet fruit for balance. Best from 2016 through 2029. 3,750 cases made.

Luminous, shiny ruby with slightly light rim. Opened with notes of cinnamon and cardomom, also some green pepper, behind it fine cherries. On the palate it shows a lot of juicy, prominent fruit, robust, tannin, unfolds with good length, in the reverberation full of ripe cherries.

Fragrances recall wet leaves, underbrush, forest berries and baking spices with a touch of espresso. The palate reveals black cherry accented with black pepper and espresso alongside bracing, tongue-drying tannins. This is a big wine, but the fruit isn't quite rich enough to support the evident alcohol.
