The deep ruby-hued, clean 2012 Tarima (100% non-organic Monastrell) is more simple than its organic sibling, although it, too, shows some chalkiness because of the limestone soils that dominate this area. Bodegas Volver, a joint venture between importer Jorge Ordonez and Rafael Canizares, produces wines from huge holdings of 252 acres in La Mancha, 457 acres in Alicante and 125 acres in Jumilla.
