Sold at an incredible price and representing a very good value, the 2016 Tarima is pure Monastrell on limestone soils from Alicante, cropped from a very dry year. It fermented in open-top vats and matured in third and fourth use French oak barrels and oak staves for six months. It has clean varietal character, tree bark, black fruit, with good ripeness and concentration, without excess and nicely integrated spices from the contact with oak. An approachable and pleasant Monastrell. 180,000 bottles produced.
