The flagship 2005 Zeta is a blend of 66% Malbec and 34% Tempranillo. The Malbec spent 14 months in French oak, the Tempranillo 14 months in American oak. The nose reveals mocha/coffee, black berry and black currant. Fleshy and supple on the palate, the wine has plenty of ripe fruit, spicy flavors, excellent balance, and 4-6 years of aging potential. It will offer prime drinking from 2012 to 2025. Familia Zuccardi is a family owned winery started in 1963 when they planted the first vineyard in Maipu, then a desert region, followed in 1973 by a second vineyard in Santa Rosa, another desert.Importer: Adam Sager, Winesellers Ltd, Skokie, IL; tel.
