Here's an easy, thin and stripped-down expression of Dolcetto to pour at a backyard barbecue with family and friends. The Beni di Batasiolo 2018 Dolcetto d'Alba really only hits at the basics, offering sour cherry and simple blackberry tones along with some bitter almond and wild rose. On the palate, the wine is thin and short. Drink it within the next year (some 7,500 12-bottle cases were released).
