The outstanding 1999 Cornas Les Mejeans (2,000 cases) boasts a black/purple color as well as a sweet nose of licorice, cassis, and creosote. It is medium to full-bodied, deep, ripe, loaded with fruit, glycerin, and sweet tannin, with enough acidity for definition. It will be at its finest between 2004-2015.
