Yalumba’s entry in the “sticky” category is the 2006 Botrytis Viognier. Medium straw colored, it has fragrant tropical aromas of peach, pineapple, candied apricots, and pear. This leads to a wine with vibrant acidity and excellent concentration. The finish is very long and pure. (for 375 ml.) Deep gold. Highly aromatic nose displays deep peach, apricot and nectarine, along with floral oil and an exotic clove quality. Pit fruit and orange marmalade flavors offer serious power and breadth. Finishes with excellent persistence and elegant lift.
