The 2004 Garnacha from the Denner Vineyard (located across from Saxum) offers spicy, peppery, kirsch liqueur notes, a style not dissimilar from a high-class Chateauneuf du Pape, medium to full body, layers of strawberry, cherry, and black currant fruit, loads of glycerin, and a plump, fleshy format that should work beautifully with California/Mediterranean cooking.
