The 2016 Cotes du Rhone Saint-Esprit Blanc, a blend of Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Bourboulenc and Viognier, is fermented and raised entirely in stainless steel. It offers a ripe nose of pear, melon and modest floral notes, then ample freshness on the medium-bodied palate. Hints of pineapple and starfruit combine with ripe citrus on the finish. It's a fine representative for the region. Drink within 18 months of the vintage.
