The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Lazuli from Maipo spent 16 months in 225- and 400-liter French oak barrels, one-third of them new. Garnet in color. The ripe, fragrant nose features black currant, mint and menthol aromas along with hints of black pepper and licorice over the bed of wood. Classical in style, the alcoholic kick making this a slightly warm red with polished tannins. A ripe wine made in a warm year with a notably intense aftertaste.
