(from the Bridge Pa Triangle; 100% destemmed and aged in 40% new oak): Full red-ruby color. Penetrating aromas of black cherry, flowers, mint and crushed fresh herbs. Penetrating, quite dry and uncompromising, with a strong acid spine giving the flavors of bitter cherry, spices and mint an early tightness. But the fine-grained tannins suggest that this very youthful wine will reward another couple years of cellaring. This bottling was a lighter wine and often lacked for structure in the early days, according to Cowley.
