The 2013 Lorch Riesling trocken is mainly sourced from old vines (averaging 65 years) cultivated in the Kapellenberg, Schlossberg and the Krone, most of which are legally classified as Erstes Gew?chs sites. The wine is juicier than the Kiedricher but has the same piquancy and straightforwardness carried by a delicate acidity and quite a salty and powerful finish. The residual sugar of 7.2 grams per liter gives it the right balance for now and the next 10 or so years.
