The 2017 Lorch Riesling Trocken is densely aromatic and flinty on the crunchy/slatey nose with yeasty notes and good depth and intensity. Marvelous. On the palate, this is a crystalline but lush, generous, highly elegant and refined dry Riesling with perfect roundness and a persistent, very well-structured finish. This is an ambitious village wine on a premier cru level from 25- to 30-year-old vines in the Lorcher crus Kapellenberg, Krone, Schlossberg and Bodenthal-Steinberg.
