The 2018 Chianti Colli Fiorentini offers ripe fruit with dark cherry, plum and some dried blackberry. This wine is 95% Sangiovese with a tiny element of complementary grapes that could include Canaiolo and/or Colorino, as dictated by local tradition. This lean to mid-weight wine is saturated and rich, showing lots of ripe fruit character and soft tannins. Some 60,000 bottles were produced and are hitting the market now. This is a terrific value and a perfect pairing partner to a classic chicken roast with potatoes.
