The purple-colored 2006 Shiraz was sourced from 45- and 90-year-old vines and spent 16 months in 500-liter French oak puncheons, 25% new. It has a superb aromatic array of cedar, pencil lead, violets, mineral, blueberry, blackberry, and a touch of chocolate. Dense and chewy on the palate, this layered, plush Shiraz is concentrated, well-balanced, and very long. Cellar it for 3-5 years and drink it from 2012 to 2024.
