The real sleeper of this trio from Truchard is their fully mature 2001 Cabernet Franc, which is a real beauty! Complex notes of red and black currant jam intermixed with incense, cedar wood, licorice and spice box make for a stunning set of aromatics. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, lush, succulent, and altogether an endearing and stunningly charming, complex wine to drink over the next 5-7 years.
