The Nuits St.-Georges Les Allots (one of four Premiers Crus that Bize-Leroy now makes wines from in Nuits St.-Georges) is ripe, with a smoky, deep, earthy fruitiness, medium body, and a soft, underlying texture. It is a very good rather than profound wine, ideal for drinking over the next 7-8 years. The 1988 vintage attests to a remarkably auspicious start for the new Domaine Leroy in Vosne-Romanee.
