It appears to be fashionable in Alsace to produce multi-varietal single vineyard wines, and Christian Bott has thrown his hat into the ring as well. The 1999 Sonnenglanz has a floral, red berry-scented nose and a light to medium-bodied character. Copious quantities of raspberries and cherries can be found in its well-fashioned, silky-textured personality. Its flavors are beautifully detailed, wrapped in a lush, glycerin-filled personality, and last throughout its seamless finish. Anticipated maturity: now-2009.
