The 2005 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a ripe, racy bouquet redolent of flowers, raspberries and cherries. This is a decidedly delicate, almost ethereal Brunello from Solaria that offers lovely clarity, freshness and detail on a small-scaled frame. Some rough edges persist in the glass, but this remains an attractive, mid-weight Brunello ideal for near-term drinking. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2017.
