In my opinion, this is one of the two greatest dry whites being made in Spain (the other is Remelluri's micro-cuvee of white wine reviewed in issue #113. This exotic, barrel-fermented white is made by a well-known Bordelais, Brigitte Lurton, whose family has major interests in top Bordeaux chateaux. Aged in French oak, this is an oily, surprisingly rich yet fresh white wine with copious quantities of tropical fruits, an excellent texture, attractive spice, along with currant, honey, and quince flavors, and nicely integrated, subtle oak. This beautiful dry white from Spain should drink well for 1-2 years.
