The dark ruby-colored 1999 Clos de La Roche boasts dark cherry and black raspberry aromas. Medium to full-bodied, rich, and opulent, this is a plush, satin-textured, penetrating wine. Its layers of candied black cherries and raspberries penetrate the palate. This is a lively, extraordinarily long, well-balanced, and seamless offering. It should be at its best if drunk between 2004 and 2012.
