Minerals intermingled with almonds are found in the 1997 Riesling Burgreben de Zellenberg's nose. At present it is tightly wound, crisp, and backward yet excellent underlying richness can be detected with aeration. Crystalline quartz-like flavors combined with a powerful punch of citrus fruit in the mid-palate promise a bright future for this light-to-medium-bodied wine. Projected maturity: 2001-2008.
