The 2005 Tuttorosso is 65% Sangiovese, 24% Syrah, and 11% Mourvedre. Dark ruby-colored, it exhibits aromas of cedar, earth notes, cherry, and black raspberry. Supple, smooth, and easygoing on the palate, it has enough structure to evolve for 1-2 years. Drink it through 2015. Veteran winemaker Brian Carter began his personal project in 2006 in the Woodinville Wine Village. A SuperTuscan blend of two thirds Sangiovese, 23% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Syrah, this is a round, forward, fruit-powered wine. Tangy acids support the plummy fruit, and resonant scents of sandalwood add further interest.
