There’s a good wine in here, but it may take a while to emerge. Or maybe not. Right now, this 100% Cab is dominated by spicy, sappy oak that obscures the underlying fruit. On closer inspection, the wine is flooded with black currants and mulberries, and is quite tannic. Could well age, but that excessive oakiness is a problem.——S.H.(6/1/2009)—— 87
