A very fine, Burgundy inspired nose with scents of cherry, wild strawberry and a touch of cold steel developing in the glass. The palate has a soft entry, but then turns crisp and leafy with attractive cranberry, raspberry and briary fruit. Perhaps just lacks a little poise and tension but this is promising for a 2005 Pinot Noir. Tasted October 2007.
