The 2004 Cornas Granite 30 has a deep ruby/purple-tinged color, good, sweet black cherry and berry fruit intermixed with smoke, earth, and truffle. The wine is medium-bodied, elegant, and almost Pinot Noir-like in its finesse and delicacy. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.
One of the bright new producers in Cornas, Paris has garnered considerable attention from European wine publications. His two cuvees of Cornas celebrate the granite soils of the steep terraces of this rustic appellation.
