The dense purple-hued 2007 Cornas Granite 30 exhibits a perfume of flowers, cassis, charcoal, and new saddle leather, decent acidity, and a full-bodied, lush mouthfeel. It should be approachable in its first 2-3 years of life, and evolve for 12-15. These impressive, quasi-modern-styled Cornas reveal the influence of barrique aging, but there is no doubting their savage blast of blue and black fruits as well as spring flowers.
