The 2007 Gemina Cuvee Seleccion is 100% “pie franco” Monastrell from pre-phylloxera vines. More deeply colored, it sports an already well-developed perfume of herbs, underbrush, smoke, brier, and assorted blue and black fruits. Dense, layered, and surprisingly elegant, this smooth-textured, lengthy offering will benefit from another 1-2 years of cellaring and provide pleasure through 2019.
