The translucent 2011 Palell, the Garnacha Peluda from a vineyards planted in 1950 on a steep slope shows bright cherry fruit, balsamic aromas and comes through as quite fresh for a very ripe and warm year. The palate shows good precision and focused flavors, with moderate acidity and some spiciness from the oak in the finish. It should get better in bottle. Sadly there are only 875 bottles of the wine .
