The 1999 Crianza spends 14 months in both French and American oak. A deep ruby/garnet color is accompanied by lovely aromas of cigar smoke, red currants, strawberry jam, spice box, and graphite. Elegant and medium-bodied, with rich fruit as well as a luscious texture, it should drink well for 2-3 years. This is an excellent value.
