The 2008 Home Pinot Noir is a single vineyard wine coming from 19 year old vines, aged 15 months in French barrique, 35% new. Medium ruby colored, it has intense cherry and raspberry fruit aromas matched by earthy notes, black truffles, underbrush and moss covered tree bark. Whiffs of cassia and roses come through after a few minutes. Crisp, intense and earthy/spicy on the palate, this medium-full bodied wine has medium-firm fine tannins and a long finish.
