Readers looking for licorice, truffle, and cassis-like flavors in a heavy-weight, full-bodied style should check out the 1995 Vintage Fortified Shiraz. This wine is almost too much of a good thing. If you don't like to drink it, a tablespoon or two poured over vanilla ice cream would be marvelous. It is a huge, chocolatey, smoky, blackberry-scented and flavored wine that oozes over the palate with copious quantities of glycerin and alcohol.
