Bottled unfined and unfiltered after being aged all in French oak, of which 40% was new, the 1998 Shiraz Curagee has tremendous depth, volume, and expansiveness on the palate. It is a strong effort from a superb vintage in South Australia. The color is a dense purple, the wine is tight, but concentrated and powerful, with outstanding purity and overall balance.
