Not as profound as the 2001, this wine, made by the brilliant Bordeaux oenologist team of Dany and Michel Rolland, exhibits a dense ruby/purple-tinged color along with sweet aromas of kirsch, black fruits, licorice, pepper, and spice box. Opulent and medium-bodied, with abundant fruit, nicely integrated wood, acidity, alcohol, and tannin, and a fleshy, long finish, it will drink well for 7-8 years. Various American importers.
