A rare white wine from Priorat, the 2005 Mas d’En Compte Blanco is a blend of 50% Garnacha Blanca, 25% Piquepoul, and 25% Xarello aged for 6 months in new French and American oak. Dark gold-colored, it exhibits an exotic, nearly kinky nose of mineral, honey, butterscotch, banana, and other tropical fruits. Full-bodied and ripe, with adequate acidity, this intensely flavored wine would pair well with crustaceons, especially the spiny lobsters of the region. Drink it over the next 12-18 months.
