The Tenuta Rapitalà 2018 Sicilia Syrah Nadir is soft and ripe with plenty of black fruit and sweetness at its core. On top of ripe prune and blackberry preserves, the wine offers spicy notes of clove, cured bacon and barbecue smoke. Its easy softness comes thanks to the Sicilian sunshine and the spicy oak. Serve it with a beef stew with plenty of potatoes to absorb that 15% alcohol punch. Some 9,000 bottles were made, and Nadir offers great value.
