The Chambolle-Musigny has some real dusty, astringent tannins and a dry finish. It has plenty of fruit, but I sensed a touch of rot. The Drouhin 1983s were given an intense filtration, no doubt because many of them are placed on American restaurant wine lists, where one is unlikely to find many who understand the virtues of sediment.
