The 2011 Finca Alto Cantabria is a pure Viura from the estate, aged in French oak for three months. It has a light patisserie-tinged nose that says more about the oak than the grape variety. The palate is simple and fresh, nicely balanced with a crisp pineapple and guava on the finish. Drink now. The wines from Bodegas Valdemar were a little inconsistent.
