The 2010 Sauvignon Blanc "Kryovrisi Vineyard" is tank fermented, coming in at just 12% alcohol. It comes from 20-year-old vines. Just lovely, this is a bottling I've come to really like. Very Loire-ish in style, this is bright and very herbaceous, with those grassy notes that Sauvignon Blanc enthusiasts love (and not everyone else always likes). It does flatten a little bit with air, but it has loads of personality and is very typical, the type of wine that demonstrates that Greece can do a nice job on international as well as indigenous grapes. It may hold longer, but I'd drink this young and gloriously fresh for best results. It is perky and delicious. Drink now-2013. Importer: Athenee Importers & Distributors Ltd., Hempstead, NY; tel.
