The purple-colored 2009 M5 was made from Monastrell grown in Yecla and aged in French oak for 3 months. The nose sports racy blueberry and blackberry aromas with a hint of cedar. On the palate it is succulent, rich, and bordering on opulent, remarkable for a wine at this price point. Its finish is smooth, lengthy, and filled with tasty black fruits. This great value over-delivers in a big way.
