The 2011 Chambertin Grand Cru includes 40% whole-cluster fruit like the Mazoyeres. It has a more reticent bouquet than its fellow grand crus at this stage, demanding more encouragement to reveal its black and red-berry aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with good weight on the entry. I like both the structure and symmetry here, while it has good persistency on the balsamic-tinged finish. Sleek and stylish, though it needs to divine a little more in the way of personality. Drink 2016-2030.
