Produced from 50 hectoliters per hectare yields and vinified entirely in oak (50% new, and the balance first and second year barrels), Ambroise's 1998 St. Romain reveals aromas of acacia blossoms and minerals. This medium-bodied wine is pure, intense, flavorful, and has a concentrated core of minerals, spices, and crisp pears. Extremely well-made and possessing excellent depth of fruit, this wine will make for delightful drinking over the course of the next 3-4 years.
