The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon is opaque purple-colored. It exhibits a classy perfume of cedar, spice box, black currant and blackberry. Full-bodied, the wine has gobs of spicy dark fruit flavors with mocha and chocolate making a presence. The wine is nicely balanced and has a long, fruity finish. Craneford has no estate vineyards, purchasing fruit from selected Barossa Valley grape growers. There are two tiers of wine, the value-priced Allyson Parsons line, and the flagship Craneford label.Importer: Ken Onish and John Gorman, Southern Starz; www.cranefordwines.com
