A still youthful 2001 from proprietress Heidi Barrett, La Sirena’s dense purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon offers up scents of espresso roast, crushed rocks, spring flowers, blue and black fruits and hints of white chocolate as well as earth. Medium to full-bodied with impressive purity, texture and depth, it requires another 5-6 years of cellaring, but is a candidate for 20 additional years of life. Tel.
