The 2006 MERLOT was aged in French and American oak for 8 months. It smells good, but there is little mid-palate concentration, and only a nominal finish. Pleasant and moderately tasty, it is a simple wine that is easy to drink. Modestly priced, it manages to deliver some value, although it is bland and has a mass market feel. Drink now-2010.
