The 1991 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits spicy, vanillin new oak, excellent herb-tinged, cedar, and cassis fruit, medium to full body, moderate tannin, and a long finish. Approachable now, it will benefit from 2-3 years of cellaring and will last for 10-15 years. Although most consumers are fanatically attached to this winery's terrific Zinfandels, Ravenswood also does other things well.
