I was lucky enough to taste the 2008 Capricho de Merenzao almost ten years after the harvest to see its evolution. It has finesse, complexity and a very intense palate. The evolution has been really good, with the soil and variety very transparent. It has length, harmony and complexity, with balsamic aromas and a spicy hint. There are only 1,000 bottles of this (which I think was the first vintage bottled). It was bottled back in September 2009.
