The 2006 Barbera d’Alba Costa Bruna is an attractive, plump Barbera loaded with fruit, but the French oak completely dominates the wine’s balance, which is a shame because the purity of the fruit is beautiful. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011. Colla is among the producers who have fashioned a stronger Barbaresco in 2005 than 2004. The rest of the line-up is solid as well.
